It’s wet in London, again! But today has been another whirlwind trip of delightful sights!
We have met Ponko the Penguin at the National Maritime Museum Stores. He is Mooses’ hero as he’s been to the only continent Moose hasn’t, Antarctica. He belonged to Herbert G. Ponting, the famous photographer from Capt. Scotts Terra Nova expedition of 1911. He was bigger than expected and still in one piece, just (like moose but 100 years his senior!).
We then walked back through a very wet Greenwich, has a cheeky Greenwich Meantime Pale Ale in the Trafalgar Tavern, from where a statue of Nelson over looks both the O2 and Canary Wharf.
We then saw a very stormy looking Curry Sark before seeing some iconic London images seen on millions of postcards! Red phoneboxs, postboxes and Underground signs!
What will tomorrow bring…
